Submitting Grants

Grant Approval Process

  1. Teachers/administrators notify grant department of intention to apply for grant funding.
  2. Grant Proposal Summary (GPS) submitted for all potential grant applications
  3. Proposal reviewed by Grant Specialist to determine alignment with Board’s Strategic Plan; District’s TCSSP Plan; and School Improvement Plans.
  4. Director of Schools approves grant request and places on monthly board agenda
  5. Board votes to approve “permission to pursue” grant
  6. Once grant is awarded board votes “permission to accept” grant
  7. Budget amendment submitted for board approval
  8. Project implemented per grantor’s guidelines and in compliance with Board Policies and Procedures
